The successful candidate will be part of an Agile Release Train team building and deploying microservices to enhance our existing award-winning wealth platform. The role is a mixture of technical and managerial and will involve:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establishing and shaping a DevOps competency and recruiting\/developing a small\u00a0team of\u00a0DevOps Engineers.<\/li>\n<li>Work from within a multi skilled Agile Team including developers and testers to support team solutions across software and infrastructure through to and including in production<\/li>\n<li>Provide support to introduce streamlined Continuous Deployment and Release on Demand to allow move away from traditional CAB practices<\/li>\n<li>Influencing and\u00a0building relationships with colleagues and delivery partners.<\/li>\n<li>Establishing a culture of continuous improvement with the collaboration, mentoring, and coaching of less experienced staff.<\/li>\n<li>Constantly challenge existing practices and processes and suggest improvements. Developing, implementing, and sharing best practice.<\/li>\n<li>Introduce and support focus on reducing Lead Time and MTTR<\/li>\n<li>Encourage the \u2018relentless improvement\u2019 approach to automate everything<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You will, from time to time, be required to undertake other activities that fall within your capabilities as directed by management.<\/p>\n<p>About you<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will take pride in delivery, continuous improvement, and capability development.<\/p>\n<p>Their background will include:<\/p>\n<p>Essential:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience designing and embedding DevOps processes into a Company, both technically and culturally<\/li>\n<li>Experienced in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Azure CLI<\/li>\n<li>Experience of using container and orchestration services, using Kubernetes and helm charts<\/li>\n<li>Experienced in migrations from classic data centres to Cloud (Microsoft Azure)<\/li>\n<li>Expertise in Microsoft Azure and its relevant build, deployment, networking and security technologies in cloud and hybrid environments<\/li>\n<li>Experienced in deploying Highly Available applications in the Cloud (Microsoft Azure)<\/li>\n<li>Experience designing and supporting complex multi-tier, services based, production systems at scale<\/li>\n<li>A good understanding of applications and infrastructure monitoring, logging and ability to build auto-scaling infrastructure, ideally in DataDog.<\/li>\n<li>The ability to build and maintain CI\/CD pipelines and underlying infrastructure for successful operation and utilisation<\/li>\n<li>A good understanding of GIT source control<\/li>\n<li>Experience of test-driven development and implementing automated test solutions and pipelines<\/li>\n<li>Experience of managing and deploying databases, such as MS SQL, MongoDb, and Postgres<\/li>\n<li>Experience of managing, motivating, coaching, and developing a team<\/li>\n<li>Experience using Azure DevOps, or similar ALM tool<\/li>\n<li>Experience of Windows Servers and Linux administration<\/li>\n<li>Degree or equivalent qualification \u2013 preferably maths, science, computer science or similar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Desirable:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven experience working within an agile environment, ideally SAFe<\/li>\n<li>Experienced in the design and delivery of enterprise-level Highly Available solutions<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft Azure Platform as a Service products:<\/li>\n<li>Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS)<\/li>\n<li>Image management software such as Artifactory\/ProGet<\/li>\n<li>App Services<\/li>\n<li>Security Services (Key Vaults\/AAD)<\/li>\n<li>Blob storage<\/li>\n<li>Snowflake<\/li>\n<li>Confluent Kafka<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":6,"featured_media":318,"template":"","meta":{"_job_location":"Bath","_application":"grant.farrell@testassociates.co.uk","_company_name":"","_company_website":"","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0},"job-categories":[],"job-types":[62],"job_listing_tag":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.testassociates.co.uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-listings\/394"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.testassociates.co.uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-listings"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.testassociates.co.uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/job_listing"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.testassociates.co.uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/6"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.testassociates.co.uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/318"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.testassociates.co.uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=394"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"job_listing_category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.testassociates.co.uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-categories?post=394"},{"taxonomy":"job_listing_type","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.testassociates.co.uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-types?post=394"},{"taxonomy":"job_listing_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.testassociates.co.uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job_listing_tag?post=394"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
